The price of a ceramic coating depends not only on the coating itself but on the paint prep. Here is what makes up the final price and why the cheapest quote is not always the best.
What the price depends on
A ceramic (nano) coating is rarely a single fixed number. Three things drive it: the size of the car, the current condition of the paint, and the coating type and warranty length. A bigger body means more prep and more product, so the price goes up.
AutoZone Detailing ceramic coating starts from €130, and we confirm the exact figure after a free inspection, once we see the real state of the paint.
- Car size (sedan, SUV, pickup)
- Paint condition and polishing required
- Coating type and warranty length (~1 to 5 years)
Why prep is a big part of the price
Much of the work is often not the coating itself but the preparation. A coating locks in the paint exactly as it is on the day it is applied, so the body must be washed, decontaminated and polished first. Skip this step and scratches and swirls stay sealed under the coating — for good.
That is why a cheap coating with no polishing and a real ceramic coating after full prep are two very different services, even under the same name.
How to compare quotes
When comparing prices, ask what is included: is polishing done, how many coating layers, what manufacturer warranty. A two-stage polish before coating costs more, but the result also lasts longer.
You can see indicative prices for every service on the pricing page, and after an inspection we give an exact figure with no surprises.
